Pharmacy Technician Job Description
About the Role
Mater Pharmacy is seeking a professional Pharmacy Technician to join our Hospital Pharmacy team in a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality pharmacy services to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and deliver dispensed medications
- Monitor and maintain stock levels in the pharmacy and clinical areas
- Manage cold chain storage of refrigerated and frozen medications
- Provide responsive customer-focused service
Rotational Roles:
- PBS claim preparation and pharmacy billing
- Cancer services clinical support, including dispensing chemotherapy, assembling pre-meds, oral drugs, and prescription management
- Outpatient services clinical support, including prescription management and scheduled supply for Mater Infusion Centre and Hospital in the Home
- Inventory management by purchasing and receiving stock for multiple retail stores, aged care, and hospital services
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum Certificate II or III in Hospital/Community Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Professional attitude, effective communication skills, and attention to detail
- Passion for customer service and commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Previous relevant work experience is highly desirable
