Our headspace team are experienced health professionals all passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of young people, their families, and friends in our community – And they are looking for new team members.
We currently have available a position for a Clinician in our Griffith office, we are seeking someone who shares the same vision and passion to support us to continue performing at peak productivity and continue delivering quality support and services to our clients and staff.
About the Role:
The Clinician's is responsible for delivering focused psychological strategies to clients who engage in our service. This involves conducting initial assessments, developing case formulations and treatment plans, engaging clients in therapeutic interventions and liaison with other people involved in clients' care such as; family members, carers, other community organisations and medical professionals.
Criteria:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy.
* Willingness to engage in professional development opportunities and consideration of undertaking mental health accreditation if qualified social worker.
* An interest in or previous experience working with young people.
* Ability to effectively engage young people and their families, including the ability to be creative and flexible A knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act and the Children (2007), Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act (1998), and other relevant legislation.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving and negotiation skills, and a demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with team members, other professionals and external agencies
* The ability to use relevant information technology, electronic recording systems and data management tools.
