The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role supports the Helidon Maintenance System by carrying out prescribed maintenance activities and managing spare parts to improve plant availability and reduce downtime.
You will be responsible for scheduled and breakdown maintenance across site assembly equipment, while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and in line with site procedures.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Conducting standard maintenance activities
* Inspecting equipment and spare parts for quality
* Updating maintenance documentation
* Overseeing contractors
* Issuing work permits
* Using SAP to support maintenance tasks
* Spare parts management
You will also contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance procedures for new and existing equipment and communicate any quality or reliability issues to relevant stakeholders.
What you'll bring
You are a team‐oriented individual with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safety and quality. You bring solid mechanical aptitude and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a broader maintenance team.
You will ideally have basic computer literacy and exposure to systems such as Microsoft Office and SAP, with the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics considered highly desirable. A forklift licence is advantageous, as is an interest in ongoing learning or further study. You are proactive, solution‐focused and flexible to support shift work and overtime when required.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to pass required pre‐employment checks including a QLD Explosives Security Clearance, drug and alcohol testing, and a physical assessment.

Our Helidon facility is located in Southeast Queensland with convenient access to the Warrego Highway and major freight routes. Established in 1988, the 400‐acre site is purpose‐built for the safe assembly and distribution of Nonel detonator assemblies, supporting mining and civil works operations across the region. Its proximity to the QLD DEEDI Explosive Reserve and domestic freight providers enables efficient and streamlined operations.
