Chelsea Hing Studio is seeking an Interior Designer who shares our boldness and craft. This is a
full-time
,
on-site role
in Melbourne.
It's a hands-on and diverse position — one day you'll be sketching a residential concept, the next you'll be developing furniture schedules, managing suppliers, coordinating deliveries, or walking through a site with a client.
If you thrive on both the creative and technical sides of high-end residential interiors, we'd love you to join our team.
What you'll do
* Design compelling residential FF&E interiors and furniture layouts that reflect each client's vision
* Conduct site measures and translate them into precise design documentation
* Prepare and present polished drawings & client presentations (2D, 3D, renderings and mock-ups)
* Manage furniture schedules, procurement, quotes, and supplier coordination
* Oversee supplier delivery logistics and installation to ensure seamless execution
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, trades and our tight-knit team to keep projects moving
* Stay plugged into design culture, materials and innovation to keep our work relevant and fresh
* This is a daily project lead & client facing role
What you'll bring
* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (or related field)
* 5 years' experience in a residential interiors role
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Google Workspace
* A strong creative eye, clear communication style and confidence in client-facing moments
* Organisational sharpness — you can juggle procurement, schedules and follow-through with ease
* Curiosity and resourcefulness — you don't just problem-solve, you tinker until it's right
* Knowledge of Programa is a plus (but not essential)
If this sounds like you - we'd love to hear from you.
