Support Worker (Overview)
Support Pathways is looking for Support Workers for regular shifts in the Bendigo area.
Our aim is to build long-term relationships with our participants! We currently have opportunities available across multiple locations within Victoria.
Are you an experienced, reliable and empathetic Support Worker who wants to make a difference in people’s lives? Support Pathways are looking for candidates that want to assist participants to achieve their goals and live their way.
Our ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with psychosocial disabilities.
Particpant requirements: Someone who is caring a can take lead while on shifts but not take over. This person know's Bendigo well can suggest low cost activcties
Shift details: Supporting our particpants at their home and taking them out in the community including prompting and assitances with house hold activities.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* An understanding of the disability/community services sector
* Provide person-centred support
* Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
* A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle plus insurance
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and new worker modules
* The legal right to work in Australia
* Excellent communication skills
* Employee Working with Children Check
* Experience with Psychosocial Disability and Autism
* First Aid Certificate
* CRP Certificate
* 100 points of ID
