About The Job
The Health Promotion Specialist will work within the Children’s Ground Health and Wellbeing team, responding to the population health needs of the local community using the Children’s Ground Family Health and Wellbeing Framework. The role provides a wide range of health promotion activities to 5 communities in and around Mparntwe – Alice Springs, including remote communities and outstations in Central Australia.
About You
We are seeking an innovative, suitably qualified, and experienced Health Promotion Specialist who has experience working with First Nations and remote communities. You will have an understanding of the effects of colonisation, disempowerment, and intergenerational trauma, along with a demonstrated commitment to social justice.
To be successful in this position, you will need to enjoy working outdoors and with community, possess strong relationship, networking, and communication skills – both verbal and written. You should have a collaborative approach to work, be a self-starter who thrives in an environment that is ambiguous and complex, and be a systemic thinker.
Ideally, you will be a First Nations person.
