Job Description

As a Production Manager, you will oversee the workflow and production workforce at our Body Repair Centre. Your role involves managing daily operations to deliver exceptional results in customer satisfaction, people management, operational efficiency, and financial performance.


Key Responsibilities

* Work closely with the Body Repair Centre Manager to ensure seamless daily operations.
* Provide inspirational leadership to the workshop team, maintaining their motivation and engagement.
* Ensure adherence to high-quality repair standards.
* Develop and implement production plans to optimize workshop throughput and meet customer expectations.
* Manage resource scheduling and task allocation for maximum efficiency.
* Offer regular coaching and feedback to technicians, identifying areas for improvement and coordinating training needs.
* Conduct regular performance reviews of team members, adhering to Tesla's required standards.
* Support technician recruitment and selection activities, contributing to the growth and development of the site.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Body Repair Centre Manager, including deputizing in their absence.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

* A strong background in management within the collision industry or relevant experience in manufacturing, automotive, or customer service.
* Vendor management experience, preferably with 3-5 years of involvement.
* Leadership experience, having successfully led teams and managed diverse roles and responsibilities.
* A Bachelor's Degree or relevant certification from a Vocational School in Collision Repair.
* Proven experience in leading field, technical repair, or manufacturing teams in fast-paced environments with strong customer-facing responsibilities.
* Familiarity with Six Sigma or Toyota Lean processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence teams towards business targets.
* Self-management capabilities and comfort working independently in limited supervision environments.
* Ability to read and comprehend automotive repair procedures.
* Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in collision repair.
