About the role
Position: Heavy Vehicle Workshop Service Mechanic – Heavy Vehicle Trailer
Location: Horsham - Victoria
Type: Full-time position
Additional: Tool of trade / company work vehicle will be supplied for tool fit out and travelling purposes where required
Responsibilities:
* Servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work of our fleet
* Liaising with external providers to ensure major repairs are completed in a timely manner
* Be able to problem solve, troubleshoot and identify opportunities for improvement
* Accurate paperwork and maintenance of records
* Actively participate in required meetings
* Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
* Ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled
* Working collaboratively with the Workshop Manager and other team members
* Able to work unassisted
* Call outs required
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Mechanical trade certification (Heavy vehicle/ trailer essential)
* Excellent knowledge of the diagnostic, repair and maintain all brands of trailers.
* 3+ experience as a heavy vehicle/ trailer mechanic
* Previous fleet and trailer maintenance and servicing experiencePrevious breakdown support experience
* HR licence
* Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
* Sound skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
