Join the Team at Halliday Engineering – Now Hiring! We design, procure, fabricate, and repair plant and marine assets across defence, shipping, mining, and power generation sectors. Project-based work at our workshop in Williamstown, Victoria and across multiple sites.

At Halliday Engineering we work with many industries with a specialised focus on defence, shipping, mining, and power generation sectors within the marine engineering industry. We design, procure, fabricate, and repair plant and marine assets interstate and overseas. We\'re currently seeking motivated and skilled tradespeople to join our team for project-based work at our workshop in Williamstown, Victoria and across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Boilermaker : Read and interpret engineering drawings; Plan and measure accurately; Cut, bend, tack weld, and fold materials; Perform welding using GMAW/FCAW, GTAW, and MMAW processes.
- Mechanical Fitter : Perform mechanical repair and refurbishment tasks on a range of equipment and industrial assets; Work safely and efficiently; Maintain a high standard of quality; Adapt to a variety of challenging job sites and equipment.
- Trade Assistants : Support on-site with servicing client assets; Repair and refurbishment of plant, equipment, and vessels; Assist with mechanical and fabrication work; Adhere to strict safety and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in heavy industrial or marine environments
- Strong safety focus and commitment to quality
- Ability to work across a variety of worksites and adapt to new challenges
- Relevant trade qualifications (for Fitters and Boilermakers)
- White Card construction training certification CPCCWHS1001
Other industry certifications would be advantageous, such as:
- Working at heights
- Confined space
- EWP Yellow Card
- Police Clearance
