Position 1: Synthetic Biology Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Synthetic Biologist to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for designing and developing novel metabolic pathways using CRISPR/Cas9, modular cloning and metabolic engineering strategies.
Your primary focus will be on engineering yeast strains (primarily Komagataella phaffii/Pichia pastoris) to improve productivity and robustness.
You will work closely with automation and systems biology specialists to optimize strain development through high-throughput experimentation.
Molecular, biochemical and omics analyses will be used to validate engineered strains.
You will also be responsible for mentoring students and contributing to the publication of high-impact papers.
Regular reports will be delivered to our industrial partner detailing experimental results.
Required Skills:
* PhD in Synthetic Biology or related field
* Extensive experience with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing
* Proficiency in molecular biology techniques
* Strong understanding of metabolic engineering principles
* Excellent communication and project management skills
