When we ‘Don the Sash’, we do so with unity, passion, excellence, and respect guiding our every move, Always Striving toward our next triumph on the premiership stage.PROJECTReporting to the AFLW Head of Strength Conditioning, placement students will assist in:The collection of GPS data using Catapult software.Collection of strength, power and screening data using Vald equipment.Assist in the delivery of resistance training and conditioning programs.Ability to take on projects within sport science and strength & conditioning as suitableWHAT YOU’LL GAINWork on real projects to help practice your skills and gain invaluable work experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment.The opportunity to work with valuable mentors who can offer career support and advice.Opportunity to build your professional network while working with and learning from industry leaders and experts in their field.Gaining exposure to an elite sporting environment, being part of one of Australia’s largest and most successful AFL Clubs in their run for AFLW finals.Fullfill required practicum hours towards your post graduate degree.DURATIONThe program will commence on May 12 and cease November 17.Two 5–6-hour days per week on Tuesday, Thursday and/or Saturday’s.Primarily based at the NEC Hangar, Melbourne Airport.Flexibility with hours/days once in-season period commences.ESSENTIAL CRITERIATo be considered for this internship, students will need to have the following:Be enrolled in a post graduate program in exercise science or related field.Practicum placement hours requirement.Genuine commitment to personal growth and development with a strong desire to learn and succeed in a team environment.NOTE: This role will be subject to background checks and a valid Working with Children Check.
