**Job Title:** Manager of Labor and Overhead Budgets

This is a newly created role that involves developing labor and overhead budgets, as well as pricing frameworks for major submarine programs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape ASC's labor and overhead rates and pricing frameworks, influencing multiple major submarine programs.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop labor and overhead budgets and rate setting processes to ensure accurate cost allocation and recovery through major programs.
* Take ownership of significant cost pools and oversee monthly allocations, variance analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and EACs.
* Provide strategic financial advice, reporting, and analysis to senior leaders and program managers.
* Lead annual rate reviews and approvals, including customer true-ups.
* Partner with stakeholders across support functions and programs to guide and influence decision-making.
* Support bids and pricing activities, ensuring financial considerations are embedded in proposals.
* Document and enforce key project accounting processes to ensure compliance and consistency.
* Engage with and support external and customer audits.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.
* Contribute to finance system improvement initiatives and workplace change projects.
* Manage and coach a small team, setting clear expectations and supporting development plans.
About You:
You will be a highly capable finance professional with proven experience in project financial management and the ability to influence, partner, and advise at senior levels. You combine technical expertise with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and can thrive in a complex environment.
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting, with full CA/CPA/CIMA membership.
* Demonstrated experience in project financial management and/or pricing and cost allocation.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear insights.
* Proven stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability.
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with resilience in a fast-moving environment.
* Experience in Defence, ERP systems, or earned value techniques is desirable.
