This hands‐on leadership role is critical in ensuring that plant maintenance, servicing, and repairs are delivered efficiently, effectively, and safely to minimise downtime and support optimal production performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all maintenance activities across plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
* Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures and production delays.
* Lead, coach, and support a team of 35 maintenance tradesmen, technicians and apprentices.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage our spare parts inventory, and procurement of maintenance services from our contractors.
* Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to align maintenance priorities with operational goals.
About You
* Trade or engineering qualification in mechanical, electrical, or related discipline.
* Extensive experience managing maintenance within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of plant reliability, automation systems, and preventative maintenance planning.
* Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and workplace safety.
* Excellent problem‐solving, communication, and planning abilities.
