CSSD TECHNICIAN – Part Time or Casual Position available
Stirling Hospital is a not-for-profit private hospital that provides a wide range of specialised surgical services for all age groups, including but not limited to Dental, Dermatology, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Pain Medicine, Plastic Surgery, and Urology. We have an employment opportunity in our Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
* Participating in the processing of RMDs in accordance with the current version of AS 5369
* Equipment testing, maintenance and record keeping consistent with the required schedule
* Demonstrating competence in cleaning, packaging, sterilising, handling and storage of RMDs for surgical procedures
Essential requirements:
* Ideally holds or is working towards Cert 111 in Sterilising Technology
* Proven experience in a CSSD (sterilisation unit and orthopaedic instrumentation)
* Sound knowledge of the AS 5369
