We are an Australian family-owned company with over four generations of experience in quality passenger transportation. What will you be doing? The Depot Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Shepparton and Euroa Depots, ensuring successful service outcomes are achieved safely, within budget and to Dyson standards. The Depot Manager is also tasked with building a positive profile for Dysons within the local community, continuing strong relationships with the existing customer base and identifying new business opportunities within the area that complement the existing operation. As Shepparton Depot is the central hub for Dysons regional network the Depot Manager will be liaising with other Depot Managers and the Fleet Service team to oversee vehicle maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include: Consistently demonstrate positive and professional leadership and behaviours in line with Dyson culture and values Manage staff performance through reward and recognition as well as addressing poor performance through feedback and counselling Anticipate potential problems and issues and implement solutions to ensure a positive outcome Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders internal and external Develop and maintain efficient rosters through consultation, to meet operational needs of the depot, whilst ensuring they comply with EBA and fatigue management regulations Manage all depot staff compliance including licences and qualifications Sign off relevant payroll information in an accurate and timely way Actively managing safety issues to ensure timely corrective action is taken Manage unplanned overtime to ensure fatigue management guidelines are adhered to and the work is fairly distributed Effectively communicate any operational changes to staff Follow company guidelines, policies & procedures always Ensure all operational compliance and reporting is completed as required. In conjunction with Fleet Services team oversee workshop and bodyshop teams including working with other regional depots to schedule work as required. Skills you will need: Preferably a tertiary qualification / experience in operations, logistics or similar related field High regard for safety Proven leadership experience Preferably a hands-on knowledge of transport management Self-motivated with strong organisational ability Strong customer service skills, ideally with previous experience in business development High level of computer literacy. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership and communication skills, enabling them to effectively handle daily challenges, demonstrate strong people management abilities and have a solid understanding of operations.
