Overview

We are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Electrical to join our team on a landmark renewable energy project Boulder Creek Wind Farm located near Rockhampton, Queensland.

Reporting to the Engineering Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and delivering key electrical components, including substation construction works, transmission line systems, and comprehensive electrical network reviews.

DIDO / FIFO roster 10 days on 4 days off, offering salary + uplift + allowances + flights + accommodation.

Responsibilities
* Conduct electrical design reviews and prepare technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and project reports, to ensure compliance with project, regulatory, and Australian safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Manage the installation and commissioning of substations and associated electrical infrastructure in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
* Supervise and coordinate construction of high-voltage transmission lines connecting wind farm assets to the grid.
* Optimise the performance of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) systems, including grid connections, and ensure seamless integration with existing networks.
* Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders while identifying and mitigating risks during construction and commissioning phases.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience with substation projects, transmission line works, or large-scale infrastructure, preferably in renewable energy.
* Strong technical knowledge of HV/MV systems, grid connections, and power distribution networks.
* Familiarity with Australian electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
