About the role
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our Perioperative Theater team. This is a permanent part-time position, with flexible contracted hours available between 24–32 hours per week. Our Theaters operate Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available. Operating hours range from 6:30am to 8:30pm.
Our Perioperative Department features three operating theatres and one procedure room, where we perform over 4,400 procedures annually. We specialise in a wide range of surgical services including gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, reconstructive plastics, urology, ophthalmology, respiratory procedures, and more. As an Enrolled Nurse you will provide patient‐centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care while acting as patient advocate
* Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients during perioperative journey
* Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
You will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. You will have recent Clinical experience in Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout or day surgery.
* Have current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA with no notations
* Recent Clinical experience in Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout or day surgery
* Ability to work in an ever‐changing and fast paced environment
* Be able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and recognise priority tasks
* Work within a multi‐disciplinary team environment with a focus on exceptional patient‐centred care and customer service
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem‐solving skills
* Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
