As a key member of our Centre's Leadership Team, the Assistant Centre Manager assists with the people and process revenue, and all other operational elements of a recreation and/or aquatic centre.
The Role
The role focuses on helping to deliver centre-wide results, while also being responsible for leading and managing the centres in the absence of the Centre Manager. This role will work across Port Pirie Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Port Pirie Sports Precinct and Crystal Brook Swimming Pool.
Position holders will lead by example and possess a range of skills across all centre functions including customer experience, learn to swim programmes, health and safety compliance, and pool operations.
Crucial role to provide centre leadership and assist with driving leisure centre attendance and programme participation, in a context of health, safety and compliance. Key accountabilities include Sales, Patron Experience, Risk Mitigation and Compliance.
Prior experience in industry sectors such as Health, Fitness, Aquatics, Hospitality, Tourism, Retail or Business. Proven team leadership or people‑management experience and the ability to lead, motivate a team and develop others.
Excellent customer service skills, sales acumen, and the ability to achieve targets and key performance indicators are required.
Our leader demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to accept feedback. Understanding of WHS and risk, including Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations and SA Health regulations, is required.
