At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant in our Cardiac Service to provide advanced leadership across our services.

About the Opportunity

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical leadership and consultancy within the Cardiac Service, delivering advanced, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions. The role supports excellence in clinical practice, service development, education, research, and quality improvement, while acting as a key clinical resource for multidisciplinary teams.

In this role you will:

Act as a clinical expert and consultant to nursing, medical, and allied health staff within the Cardiac Service.

* Lead best-practice cardiac nursing care across acute, sub-acute, and outpatient settings as applicable.
* Ensure care delivery aligns with contemporary evidence, clinical guidelines, and organisational policies.
* Provide clinical leadership and professional guidance to nursing staff within the Cardiac Service.
* Provide mentorship, coaching, and clinical supervision to support professional development.
* Identify learning needs and promote ongoing competency development in cardiac nursing.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

* Current AHPRA registration and extensive post-registration experience, including specialty-specific qualifications.
* Strong clinical leadership capability with the ability to guide multidisciplinary collaboration.
* Proven commitment to high-quality nursing practice and evidence-based clinical decision making.
* Demonstrated skills in service planning, organisational change and complex workload management.
* Strong communication, education and research capability with experience developing and evaluating programs.
