Job Title: Medical Centre Portfolio Leader
As a Medical Centre Portfolio Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple medical centres across Ballarat. Your role will involve managing efficient workflows and optimising resource allocation to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and monitor operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance overall efficiency.
* Manage budgets and drive strong financial performance across all sites.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and maintain RACGP accreditation standards.
* Develop business growth strategies for the portfolio.
* Analyse practice data to identify opportunities for service improvement and expansion.
* Lead, mentor, and develop administration teams and practice leads.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, allied health professionals, and practice nurses.
* Implement workforce planning strategies and support recruitment and retention initiatives.
* Champion professional development opportunities and promote teamwork excellence.
* Collaborate with the Clinical & Quality Manager to maintain high standards and accreditation.
* Develop patient-experience enhancement strategies and manage feedback systems.
* Support evidence-based models of care and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Minimum five years of operational management experience within primary healthcare settings.
* Proven track record managing multiple sites or services simultaneously.
* Strong business development experience with practice growth strategies.
* Expert knowledge of Medicare billing systems, MBS items, and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated success in budget management and financial performance.
* Tertiary qualifications in health administration, business management or related field (desirable).
* Experience with RACGP accreditation processes and standards compliance.
* Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites.
* Outstanding people-leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
* Excellent stakeholder-management skills with medical practitioners, GPs and nurses.
* Results-oriented approach with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
