Senior Geologist Resource Definition
In this role, you will be exposed to a diverse range of geological projects across more than 50 deposit styles, offering significant technical variety and challenge. Backed by a strong and sustained resource definition and exploration budget, you will play a key role in advancing resource development and contributing to ongoing operational success.
Leading a team of geologists, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding day‐to‐day activities, while ensuring a high standard of technical output and supporting the ongoing development of your team. This role provides the opportunity to influence both project outcomes and team capability within a collaborative and technically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively involved in the geology budget, ensuring drill priorities align with site strategy.
* Manage the integration of geological data from drilling activities and external sources into the site database.
* Compile and integrate geological data, studies, technical data, and consultant reports to develop robust geological interpretations and estimations.
* Input into resource updates and mineral resource reporting requirements.
* Oversee the management of the Mungari tenements, ensuring compliance and statutory requirements are met.
* Make recommendations for future work, facilitate group project reviews and planning, and foster a business improvement culture within the geology team.
* Assist in selecting appropriate techniques and procedures for all initiatives and projects.
About You
The Senior Geologist Resource Definition role is suitable for a tertiary qualified and motivated geologist wishing to work within an operation that encourages development. The following qualifications and attributes are required:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in geology.
* Minimum 6+ years' experience across exploration and production, with at least 5+ years of gold experience.
* Experience working at a senior level, mentoring other geologists.
* Understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry, and structural geology.
* Knowledge of statutory acts, regulations, and legal requirements.
* Advanced understanding of geological interpretation and current 3D modelling techniques, block modelling, and QAQC protocols.
* Highly developed problem‐identification and solution‐conceptualisation skills.
* Experience using Datamine and Leapfrog.
* Demonstrated behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values.
Applicants must be either a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area and work an 8:6 (12‐hour day) roster, or a FIFO employee from Perth, Thursday to Thursday.
