With one traineeships available, you will get paid to learn and gain a qualification to form the foundation of your career. You will gain practical skills and knowledge working alongside experienced groomers whilst completing a the Government recognised training program, Certificate III in Animal Care Services, Pet Grooming, over a two year period.
What are the responsibilities of the role?
The initial role will be a bather, and your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing a dog yourself, including bath, blowdry, fluff drying, and nails.
* Complete a double-coated groom out by yourself, excluding the tidy
* Supporting and working alongside the Dogo Sapien team
* Cleaning and other salon duties
What is the traineeship?
A grooming traineeship is a government-recognised training program that allows aspiring groomers to enter the industry. The trainee will qualify ACM30122 Cert III in Animal Care Services Pet Grooming while learning grooming skills and industry-based knowledge in a workplace environment. Trainees engage in a 2-year full-time (or part-time) commitment, receiving hands-on training on the job while completing theoretical components online. This setup offers a practical, mutually beneficial solution for employers and trainees in the grooming industry, addressing our industry's critical need for qualified professionals.
How long does a grooming traineeship last?
A grooming traineeship lasts for two years. This duration allows trainees ample time to learn the necessary skills and become proficient groomers.
What qualifications do trainees receive?
Trainees will complete the ACM30122 Cert III in Animal Care Services Pet Grooming, a recognised qualification issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
What are the minimum requirements?
* Able to physically handle larger breed dogs confidently
* Able to work long days on your feet
* Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
* Good level of communication
* A hard work ethic and passion to continue to grow
