About The Role
The SUPPS team provides specialist antenatal and postnatal complex care to women with substance use issues. Women are identified antenatally and intervention continues until the child reaches 2 years of age. The social worker provides a professional social work service to women/family/carers to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessment, counselling, therapeutic interventions, and referral to women/family/carers to develop healthy and secure relationships within families and enhance whole family functioning.
Provide clinical specialty, supervise junior social work staff, and deliver clinical leadership as a senior clinician.
Identify and evaluate continuous improvement initiatives to optimise clinical service delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Current driver's licence to travel across the district and external sites.
Demonstrate evidence-informed clinical judgment in complex case management adhering to AASW Practice Standards.
Strong independent professional judgement and ability to deliver high quality client services.
