The Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) is about to change everything - and we're gearing up for launch.
We're delivering 65 brand new, state‑of‑the‑art six‑car passenger trains to support the Queensland population and future growth and help Queensland shine on the world stage during the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. These next‑generation trains will be manufactured right here in Queensland at our new, purpose built world‑class facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast.

The role at a glance
As the Learning & Development Manager for QTMP, you'll drive capability development across the project by delivering training programs, supporting structured entry pathways, and partnering with leaders, RTOs and community groups. You'll ensure the workforce is skilled, compliant and ready to meet the demands of Queensland's largest rail manufacturing program.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify training needs and deliver high‑quality learning programs.
* Lead traineeship, apprenticeship, cadetship, graduate and diversity pathway programs.
* Build relationships with leaders, RTOs, universities, schools and subcontractors.
* Manage the LMS to ensure accurate records, compliance and reporting.
* Develop learning materials and coordinate external training providers.
* Oversee monthly reporting, workforce development activities and TPAS requirements.
About you
You're a proactive, organised L&D professional who builds strong partnerships and enjoys working in a fast‑paced project environment. You bring:
* Cert IV Training & Assessment
* HR Diploma/Degree advantageous
* Experience in management of managing structured entry pathways.
* Strong LMS knowledge and confidence with data and reporting.
* Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to work independently.
* Familiarity with rail industry operations and rolling stock is desirable but not mandatory.
