About the role
Position:Heavy Diesel Mechanic

About You
* Suitable Trade Qualification or Certification
* Must have minimum 5 years' qualified industry experience
* Demonstrated working experience with heavy vehicles & heavy machinery (Kenworth, Volvo & Mack Prime Movers, side-tippers, bowl tippers, belly dumpers, Cats, Cummins etc.)
* National Police Clearance (within 6 months validity) – or ability to obtain one
* Traffic History Report (within 3 months validity) – or ability to obtain one
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Must have prior experience in ports, heavy transport or mining environments
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment, with a proactive approach to task resolution to maintain a high quality of work
* Strong analytical thinker with an ability to make concise and compelling decisions
* Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
* Have a positive attitude
