Senior Social Work Lead
This key position oversees the Social Work team in the Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP) and drives high-quality patient care within Geriatric Medicine. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage complex social work matters, provide leadership and supervision, and contribute to delivering exceptional patient services.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead the TACP social work team in Geriatric Medicine, ensuring effective collaboration and quality outcomes.
2. Address intricate issues such as elder abuse, child protection, and domestic violence with sensitivity and expertise.
3. Supervise and mentor social work staff and students, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
4. Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop targeted interventions to enhance patient well-being.
5. Promote seamless teamwork among multidisciplinary professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* A degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
* Demonstrated experience in delivering social work services in Aged Care and/or Rehabilitation settings, preferably in a hospital or community context.
* Proven leadership abilities, including experience in supervising staff and/or students.
* Exceptional time management skills, along with strong written and verbal communication, report writing, and computer literacy capabilities.
