As a Civil Engineer at Burnie City Council, you'll work on a diverse range of infrastructure including roads, stormwater assets, footpaths, buildings and other public infrastructure while enjoying genuine work-life balance in one of Tasmania's most beautiful coastal regions.

As the Civil Engineer, You'll:

* Assist with the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects
* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, developers and consultants to ensure successful project outcomes
* Help monitor site works and ensure compliance with relevant standards and Council policies and permits
* Contribute to asset management planning and continuous improvement initiatives
* Provide technical advice across a broad range of civil engineering matters
* Engage with community members and stakeholders to support the day to day management and forward planning of Council infrastructure

What You Bring:

* Tertiary level qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar i.e. TAFE Advanced Diploma Civil Engineering with demonstrated relevant work skills and experience
* A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn in a supportive, hands-on environment
* Sound understanding of civil design, construction processes, and relevant Australian standards
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across departments and with external stakeholders
* Outstanding organisational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD or design software is a bonus
* A current driver's licence (or ability to obtain one)
