Your new role
Join ASC's Capability Pool team as the Capability Development Project Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping workforce readiness for Australia's largest and most complex industrial undertaking.
In this strategic, commercially focused position, you will:
* Develop and implement complex project methodologies to support capability development programs.
* Identify and negotiate opportunities with third-party stakeholders for secondments and short-term placements of skilled tradespeople.
* Build strong internal relationships across business units to uncover and leverage workforce support opportunities.
* Drive business development initiatives to create standing arrangements with external partners in industries such as mining, oil & gas, and shipbuilding.
* Oversee junior project managers and coordinators to ensure delivery of objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* Contribute to strategic planning for workforce development and training uplift programs.
* Ensure compliance with ASC's governance, security, and safety standards.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in project management within a commercial or industrial environment (white-collar focus).
* Strong business development and negotiation skills, with the ability to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
* Commercially savvy and comfortable engaging with stakeholders across multiple sectors.
* Ability to design and implement business methodologies and innovative workforce solutions.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
* Experience in workforce development or training programs is highly desirable.
Eligibility:
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
