We are seeking a full-time Group Purchasing Officer as part of our Support Office Team. This role is based on-site at our Distribution Centre in Dandenong and reports to the DC Inventory & Product Category Manager.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Coordinate central purchasing of pine across the Bowens network with the support of the DC Inventory & Product Category Manager
* Monitor and maintain stock levels at the Distribution Centre in line with Company sales forecasts/demand.
* Support and assist import program to maintain optimum inventory requirements
* Analyse inventory performance and provide recommendations
* Assist in the management and administration of supplier agreements
* Assist researching and conducting regular competitor price comparison analysis by range.
* Prepare and maintain regular reporting, including end-of-month reporting and analysis
* Receipt Goods into the Distribution Centre
About you:
* Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control.
* Strong Excel skills and a highly analytical approach to problem‐solving.
* Timber or industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong time management, organisational skills and high attention to detail.
* Good communication and effective negotiation skills.
