Job Description
As a Program Worker, you will deliver person‐centred case management and crisis support to Aboriginal women and children in office‐based and/or outreach settings. Your responsibilities will include:
* Deliver high‐quality, trauma‐informed case management to women and children
* Conduct risk assessment and safety planning
* Support access and referrals to housing, legal, health and community services
* Strengthen women's connection to culture, kinship and community networks
* Work in partnership with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Elders and local stakeholders
* Participate in reflective practice and cultural supervision
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
This role works in office‐based and/or community settings and includes participation in the Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) after‐hours on‐call roster as a requirement of the position.
The position sits within programs specifically supporting Aboriginal women and children and requires a demonstrated commitment to culturally safe, respectful and responsive practice. The role is currently funded until 31/12/2027.

You will bring:
* Qualifications (or equivalent experience) in social work, community services, psychology, welfare or related field
* Understanding of the ongoing impacts of colonisation, intergenerational trauma and systemic disadvantage
* Demonstrated ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with Aboriginal women and families
* Experience working in domestic and family violence and/or homelessness services
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
* Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the social, historical and systemic factors impacting families
* A commitment to culturally safe and trauma‐informed practice
This is a female‐identified position.
