We are seeking experienced Workshop/Breakdown Fitter's to join our Deflector Mine Site team.

Deflector Operation consists of two high‐grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.
Location & Shift
* 8:6, 7:7 or 2:2 FIFO roster from Perth.
* DIDO roster from Geraldton.
* Day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including earthmoving machinery, trucks, and ancillary equipment.
* Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective action in a timely and effective manner.
* Dismantle, assess, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and other mechanical components.
* Use diagnostic tools and OEM software to troubleshoot issues.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and drivetrain issues on heavy mobile equipment.
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records in line with company procedures.
* Adhere to all workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
* Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and priorities.
* Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and tools.
* Provide input on improvements to maintenance procedures and workshop efficiency.
* Attend and actively participate in shift change meetings and provide accurate handover notes.
* Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
* Assist with other workshop tasks as directed by the supervisor.
About You
* Trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter (Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent).
* Familiarity with a range of heavy machinery (e.g. Eproc, Sandvik, Caterpillar, Normet).
* Proven experience working in a workshop‐based mechanical role.
* Sound diagnostic and fault‐finding skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
* Basic electrical and auto‐electrical fault identification (advantageous).
* Basic welding and fabrication skills (desirable).
* WA Manual Driver's Licence (C‐Class).
* HRW Licence – Forklift.
