About the role
MIB Projects is an indigenous owned, mining contracting company that is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team BHP Newman, WA 6753.
This is a 2:1, long term, casual position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy mining equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our mining operations.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnose and repair breakdowns and faults on a range of heavy mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators and loaders
* Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on equipment
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety guidelines
* Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to identify and implement improvements
* Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
* Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter, ideally in a mining or heavy industry environment
* Holder of a HR Licence
* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive and solution-focused approach
