ALC operates as a Registered NDIS provider. We currently have opportunities for casual support workers in our **Wendouree** **Residential** setting. We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers, Social Workers and Youth Workers for casual shifts.
Your primary responsibility will be to support people living with a disability in a group residential setting. This can involve manual handling, community access, transportation, personal care and companionship.
Our organization delivers high-quality services that enable our participants to live an independent life but at the same time listen to the views of clients and families. Our ultimate goal is to maximize the independence and functional skills of participants to achieve the best quality of life.

We are currently looking at hiring support workers on a casual basis. Desired applicant qualities for this role include someone with a person-centred approach, who is available to work a variety of times, energetic and excited to make a difference in people's lives.
As the newest member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing quality services and safeguards to our participants to promote opportunities for meaningful participation and active inclusion in society. But also building and assisting participants to achieve their goals and become independent so they can live a happy life.
A day in your life as a Disability Support Worker with ALC may see you supporting our participants with,
- Domestic and personal care
- Transportation assistance
- Medication management
- Building on individual strengths and enabling individuals to reach their goals
- Community participation
- Group centre activities
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:
- Current Police Check,
- Current driver's licence
- Car, registration and insurance
- A relevant qualification in Disability or Aged Care or Individual Support will be an added advantage.
- Two relevant, professional and industry related reference checks
- Must be willing to provide or obtain a Victorian Working with Children's Check for employment purposes.
- Must be willing to provide or obtain a NDIS worker screening check
- Have a current or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate

**Salary**: $32.00 - $68.00 per hour
