This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of minerals from mine sites. Our team relies on skilled professionals like you to review development plans, conduct regular geotechnical monitoring, and collaborate with other departments to integrate geotechnical expertise into mine planning and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and provide feedback on development plans and stope designs to ensure they meet safety and operational standards
* Conduct regular geotechnical monitoring and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of geotechnical expertise into mine planning and operations
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering or Geology with post-graduate qualifications in Geomechanics or a related field
* Previous experience in geotechnical engineering preferably in underground hard rock mining
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Vulcan, Deswik, Datamine, and Rocscience
