Administration and Customer Service Officer
Greyhound Racing SA Limited (GRSA) is the controlling body of greyhound racing in South Australia, conducting, regulating, and promoting the sport from our headquarters at Angle Park. GRSA’s primary responsibilities are to ensure the welfare of the industry’s greyhounds and the responsible and ethical regulation of approximately 700 licenced industry participants and race meeting activities at its five racetracks – Angle Park, Gawler, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier and Virginia – through the effective enforcement of local and national rules and compliance policies.
As the face of Greyhounds as Pets (GAP), the Administration and Customer Service Officer will greet and welcome guests, manage day to day duties of the reception area while actively supporting GAP activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reception tasks for the GAP department.
- Accurate and timely execution of all relevant departmental processes.
- Management of database to reflect the need for currency.
- Provision of a consistent, professional response to phone and email enquiries.
- Documentation of fundamental tasks and processes which are integral to the role.
- Responsiveness to process or systems change based on observed or identified need.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in reception or administration.
- Previous experience in a wagering, racing or sporting industry (desirable).
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Sharp oral and written communication skills.
- Sound computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A current Police clearance completed within the last 3 months.
- A level of medical and physical fitness sufficient to be able to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
