Port Operations Manager
Carnival Corporation & plc is excited to announce the role of Port Operations Manager, a full-time permanent position based in Chatswood, Sydney. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Port Operations, this role leads and coordinates port operations across the South Pacific Region.
This key position supports cruise line operations, ensuring operational excellence in port logistics, agency management, infrastructure development, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating seamless interactions between vessels and ports, executing every arrival and departure safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
The Port Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all port agents across the region, overseeing port logistics and liaising with port authorities and agents at all ports of call. Additionally, they will coordinate supply logistics with purchasing and logistics teams, oversee port infrastructure, and ensure compliance with safety, security, public health, and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date port information databases and cruise status reports for Carnival group vessels, fostering strong relationships with vendors, government bodies, and port personnel, and driving cost-effective operations across all port activities.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have demonstrated 3+ years of shoreside operations experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exceptional organisation, interpersonal, and communication skills, high attention to detail, commitment to outstanding customer service, strong analytical skills, independent problem-solving ability, and operational experience preferably in the cruise industry.
