About the Role
With our planned production increases and based in the beautiful Riverland we are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead our planning function and drive operational excellence. The Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and executing short-, mid-, and long-term production and demand plans, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery of products and services. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, collaborative leadership, and a proven track record in capacity planning, material planning, and schedule optimization.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and own the end-to-end planning process, including demand forecasting, supply planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
* Create and maintain master production schedules (MPS), material requirements planning (MRP), and capacity plans to align with business goals and customer demand.
* Analyse historical data, market trends, and customer forecasts to generate accurate short-, mid-, and long-term forecasts.
* -Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics to ensure feasibility and alignment of plans.
* Optimize capacity utilization, lead times, and production sequencing to maximize on-time delivery and minimize costs.
* Identify and mitigate risks to the supply plan (e.g., supply disruptions, supplier capacity constraints, material shortages) and develop contingency plans.
* Lead S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) or integrated business planning processes, facilitating cross-functional meetings and ensuring alignment across all functions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning accuracy, process efficiency, and data integrity.
* Prepare for the implementation of an ERP system in 2026.
* Ensure data quality and integrity in planning systems (e.g., ERP/MRP, demand planning software, BI dashboards).
* Develop and manage budgets for the planning function and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
* Prepare regular reports and executive-level dashboards for leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

What You'll Need to Succeed
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or relevant planning experience.
* 3 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles.
* Strong expertise in demand planning, production planning, MRP/ERP systems and planning software.
* Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting methods, and advanced Excel; experience with BI tools is a plus.
* Solid understanding of manufacturing or service delivery processes, lead times, capacity planning, and inventory management.
* Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities; ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
* Strong project management and change management capabilities.
* Effective people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
