This permanent opportunity offers broad exposure across mid-term and long-term mine planning, stope design, and ventilation management, all within a collaborative technical services environment. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong underground hard-rock experience (gold preferred) seeking a stable roster, strong technical scope, and long-term progression. Prepare, review and audit mid-long term mine designs and plans to support safe, efficient production Develop schedules to meet budget, forecast and project needs Collaborate with Geology, Geotechnical, Production and Operations teams to ensure practical execution of plans Complete stope designs to maximise economic extraction Support investigations into material and grade issues Conduct primary and secondary ventilation surveys and maintain accurate ventilation data Run ventilation modelling and simulations to support safety and continuous improvement Assist with mine infrastructure projects (air, water, de-watering systems) Support Production Engineering with short-term planning, drill & blast design and explosives management Maintain compliance with all safety, statutory and regulatory requirements Requirements Degree qualified in Mining Engineering Strong underground hard-rock experience, with gold experience essential/preferred Strong capability in mine planning, scheduling and UG design Deswik experience highly regarded Understanding of ventilation systems and ability to support statutory requirements Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams Safety-focused, detail-driven, and committed to continuous improvement Benefits Permanent Position 8:6 Days only roster Growing Gold Miner Supportive Management About Brunel Brunel is a recruitment and flexible workforce solution provider which connects talented people with opportunities throughout Australasia and around the world.
