We are currently looking for Mechanics based at our Mount Gambier facility. We have a fleet of over 1,700 vehicles across servicing different companies, Crossmuller, Borg, Plantation Pine Products and Polytec which consists of Cars, Rigid Trucks, Prime Movers and Trailers, Forklifts and Construction and Plant equipment which we service in our in-house workshops.
The Scope of work we are exposed to:
* Basic and major truck and trailer servicing to comply with NHVR accreditation
* Major overhauls and midlife rebuilds
* Preventative maintenance
* Accident damage and repairs
* New Vehicle pre-delivery and fit outs
* Forklift service and repairs
* Scissor lift and Boom lift service and repairs
* Welding, machining and fabrication
* Auto electrical and Air conditioning
* Hydrostatic drives, Hydraulic circuits and components
Some of the brands of machinery we work on:
* Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, UD and Hino Trucks
* Komatsu, Liebherr, Sennebogen, Volvo, CAT, Terex and Bobcat
* Vawdrey, Barker and Freighter trailers
* Linde, Toyota, Crown and Komatsu forklifts
* Genie and JLG scissor lifts and boom lifts
In this role you will be responsible for:
* All servicing and repairs to the company's fleet, including trucks, forklifts and company cars
* Carrying out all repairs and maintenance (including completion of all paperwork) in a timely and professional manner
* Occasional attendance at side-of-road breakdown jobs requiring repair/service
The successful applicant will have:
* A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel, Plant or Auto-Electrician Mechanic
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* A strong work ethic
