The Role
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead, EPC Projects (Solar & BESS) to own procurement for high-value equipment, subcontracts, and services across major solar and energy storage projects. Operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering requirements and commercial contract management.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Sourcing: Define and execute procurement strategies for critical subcontract packages across utility-scale solar & BESS projects
* Contract & Risk Management: Structure, draft, and negotiate high-value vendor agreements to protect cost, quality, and delivery timelines
* Market Intelligence: Monitor supply market trends, track raw cost drivers, and perform vendor due diligence
* Continuous Improvement: Drives procurement excellence through process optimisation, capability building, and effective use of digital tools and data.
Skills & Experience Required
* EPC Procurement Experience: 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience within EPC, ideally in renewable energy sector.
* Commercial Rigour: Demonstrated expertise negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts and managing vendor risk.
* Technical Sourcing: Background sourcing customised engineering or electrical components (inverters, transformers, batteries, etc.)
* Results-Driven: Proactive and accountable self-starter, combining analytical thinking and collaboration, thriving in fast-paced project environments
