About The Role
This role involves working with clients with drug dependence and criminal justice involvement. The MERIT program lasts 12 weeks and covers Tamworth local court. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one counselling, casework, and supporting clients through court processes.
You will collaborate with various professionals, including an Aboriginal Health Practitioner who offers cultural support to Aboriginal clients.

About You
This position suits someone with:
* A basic knowledge of counselling techniques.
* Ability to work well independently and in a team.
* Strong communication skills.
* A willingness to learn.
Requirements
* A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent qualification that allows professional registration or membership, or extensive relevant experience and willingness to obtain a relevant qualification.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work.

* Position is full-time; part-time or job-share considered.
