This exciting role requires a skilled individual to deliver exceptional desserts, pastries, and savouries in a professional and supportive environment.
As a key member of our expanding kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of pastries, cakes, slices, desserts, and savoury baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare a range of sweet and savoury treats that meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new dessert menus and specials for events and functions.
* Ensure consistency across all pastry and dessert offerings.
* Manage pastry section operations, including stock rotation, portion control, and food cost management.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and workplace professionalism.
About You:
* Previous experience in pastry, bakery, or dessert preparation is essential.
* Strong technical skills in baking and pastry are required.
* Creativity is necessary to design and implement new desserts and specials.
* Ability to work independently with good time management and collaboratively within a team.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
