Your opportunity
We are seeking a full-time warehouse assistant and delivery driver to join the team at our Cairns store.
Ideally, the successful applicant will already have experience working in a warehouse and undertaking delivery driving duties with a reasonable knowledge of retail and wholesale paint products, but all candidates with transferable experience will be considered.
This is a full-time position.
Your role
You will have the responsibility for working closely with the Warehouse Manager in the delivery of the following key tasks:
Ensuring a commitment to providing a professional customer experience.
Answering and processing customer orders via telephone and email.
Use of Point‑of‑sale systems and computers for the processing and invoicing of customer orders and sales.
Receipting incoming stock against purchase orders.
Maintain inventory records and monitor emails.
Pick and pack orders received and organise the delivery of orders processed to customer either in person or through a freight provider.
Presentation and housekeeping of the warehouse, including in‑house cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping, wiping down shelves and counters and other spot cleaning tasks as required.
Following up with suppliers on any outstanding purchase orders and deliveries.
Adherence to Workplace, Health and Safety requirements and procedures.
Resolution of supplier enquiries, and where they raise complaints and concerns.
Loading/unloading and maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
Assist in general labour and warehouse duties as required.
Any other reasonable duties as directed.
Tinting and mixing paint.
