Aviassist Pty Ltd is Australia's leading drone training and aviation solutions provider. A dynamic and growing company based in Mayfield East, Aviassist is looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join the team.
The Opportunity
Aviassist is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join the head office team.
This is a permanent part-time position, ideal for a candidate seeking stable hours and a fantastic work-life balance. The role is for 20 hours per week, structured as 4 hours per day, 5 days a week.
The successful applicant will become a crucial part of the operations team, managing the day-to-day financial administration to ensure accounts remain accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily Reconciliations: Performing daily bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero.
* Payroll & Onboarding: Managing end-to-end payroll, payroll journalling, and handling the financial onboarding of new staff (setting up employee profiles, superannuation, and tax details).
* Accounts Payable: Processing supplier bills for payment, processing purchase orders, and managing creditor inquiries.
* Accounts Receivable: Proactively chasing overdue invoices and managing debtor communications.
* Vendor Management: Liaising with new vendors & current vendors, completing comprehensive vendor documentation, and maintaining accurate vendor records (including bank details) in Xero.
* Reporting: Assisting the Chief of Staff with End of Month (EOM) reporting tasks.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar Accounts Administration or Bookkeeping role.
* Demonstrated proficiency and strong experience with Xero accounting software.
* Solid experience in processing end-to-end payroll and employee setup.
* A strong understanding of both Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) procedures.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of data entry accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with vendors and staff.
* The ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a 4-hour window.
