HunterNet Career Connections in partnership with our host company, have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced 2nd or 3rd Year Industrial Spray Painting and Blaster Trainee to join their team in Gateshead.
Our host company specialises in a variety of areas including transport, defence, underground mining, architecture and general manufacturing.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic who is interested in completing a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating.
Some of your daily duties might include:
Perform spray painting and blasting applications
Mix paints to achieve correct consistency
Clean and maintain spray-painting equipment
Conduct quality assurance checks and complete QA documentation
Apply heat shrink sleeves as required
Prepare and blast surfaces to specification
Maintain clean air lines, chambers, and work areas
Minimise material waste and support general housekeeping
Analyse and interpret work orders to determine information required to complete the task at hand
Ensure all work is performed to specification and to a high-quality standard
Actively listen and effectively communicate
Ensure all tools and machinery are effectively maintained and secure
It is essential that you are:

Proactive and safety-focused, maintaining a clean and safe workspace
Capable of completing safety documentation accurately and on time
