Opportunity
The Matic Group of Companies is a progressive transport and logistics company with a diverse range of operations throughout Australia.
Due to our continued and expected growth, we are seeking suitably experienced Float operators for our UHH Resources Division.
Key responsibilities
* Truck and equipment safety
* Truck, trailer and equipment operation
* Safe machinery operation for loading/unloading
* Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to light to heavy
equipment operations
* Equipment cleaning standards and procedures
* Different methods of securing and covering loads such as using chains, locks and straps
* An understanding of the Road Code, defensive driving techniques and relevant transport laws
* Knowledge of the area they work in and the correct routes to take
* Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to identify and handle hazardous road conditions
* Identifying and assessing manual handling hazard and risks

* Solid driving record
* Ability to be able to work autonomously
* Pass pre-employment medical & D&A Screening
* Ability to understand and adhere to OH&S Procedures
* Float experience - up to 50tn (desirable)
* Oversize experience (desirable)
* Road Train experience (desirable)
Additional requirements for the roles will include:
* Hold a valid License - MC Class
* A Copy of online Driver Fatigue Test (WA)
* National Police Clearance
* Current Commercial Driver Medical.
* Mine Site Inductions (desirable)
* Dangerous Goods License (desirable)
* Load Restraint Course (desirable)
