Your opportunity: The Risk and Resilience Group contributes to Urban Utilities’ purpose to Enrich Quality of Life by driving strategic direction and leadership on all matters relating to contemporary and effective risk management and resilience strategies. We partner with all business areas in developing, implementing and managing, programs and systems across the enterprise Risk and Resilience portfolio to drive health and safety for our people, to protect public health and the environment, and to enable sustainability for our organisation. We currently have an opportunity for a Data and Systems Administrator to join the Risk and Resilience Group, assisting in the delivery of Risk, Insurance, Security and Resilience strategies, coordination of data management and reporting and system administration of the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) system. Support the Risk, Insurance Security and Resilience (RISR) team to embed first and second line of defence accountabilities for risk and resilience functions, including the reporting of risk mitigation strategies, advice and recommendations to management and staff in relation to risk, compliance obligations and broader RISR functions, across UU. Please note that this role is 12-month fixed term role. About you: You’re a practical and detail-oriented data administrator who enjoys working with risk and compliance information. You’re comfortable using UrbanGRC, Excel and PowerBI to pull together data, keep it accurate, and turn it into clear, easy-to-understand reports and dashboards. You work well with digital and IT teams to keep systems running smoothly, and you’re confident explaining insights to non-technical stakeholders. You also enjoy supporting others by creating simple training materials and helping staff get the most out of governance, risk and compliance systems. You will also have: Diploma or certificate qualifications in related disciplines highly regarded. 2 years’ work experience in data analytics and reporting. 1 to 3 years work experience in governance, risk and compliance systems (preferred) Experience producing and maintaining visual reports using PowerBI Excel or other visualisation tools. Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to understand business and customer insight requirements and translate those to insights and reporting for decision making At UU, we celebrate diversity. Performance of ‘on call’ duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on-call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position. The days, times, duration and frequency of on call arrangements may be subject to change, including at short notice, as required by Urban Utilities’ operational needs as applying from time to time. At all times whilst on-call, you must be fit for duty, contactable, and able to respond, including the ability to physically attend if required, to the operational needs of the business within a reasonable timeframe and in a safe manner. The requirement to undertake ‘on call duties’ arises from the critical nature of the role including key responsibilities for ensuring the continuity of essential water and wastewater services on a 24 hour 7 days per week basis to customers and the community across Urban Utilities’ geographic area in performing functions as a distributor-retailer under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring Act 2009 (Qld). The remuneration for the role has been calculated to include compensation for the requirement to remain available to perform work during on call periods and for the performance of work outside the ordinary hours of work as part of on call processes and otherwise.
