Job Title: F&I Manager

Summary:

The F&I Manager is responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new- and used-vehicle customers.

Pay:

* $90,000 - $190,000 per year based on commission.

Essential Duties:

1. Provides customers with thorough explanations of aftermarket products and extended warranties.
2. Converts cash deals to finance.
3. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with several finance sources, including the manufacturer.
4. Processes finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
5. Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
6. Processes all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
7. Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new- and used-vehicle and finance departments.
8. Completes paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and efficient manner.
9. Checks all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc., before forwarding to accounting.
10. Aquires and maintains current state insurance license, completing continuing credit insurance education as needed.
11. Educates customers on manufacturer's warranty coverage on new and used vehicles (when applicable).
12. Properly discloses all documents associated with the vehicle purchase, including finance/lease interest rates and loan terms.
13. Provides sales managers with current information about finance and lease programs continually.
14. Trains the sales staff regarding the benefits of financing, insurance, and extended service programs.
15. Works with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale.
16. Ensures collection of all finance and insurance fees.
17. Takes all credit applications.
18. Works closely with sales managers to establish sales department goals and objectives and ensures that they are achieved.
19. Processes salespersons' end-of-month commission sheets for accounting office payroll.
20. Supervises and trains designated backup to ensure continued efficiency and profitability in the F&I manager's absence.
21. Maintains an adequate and current supply of all required contracts and paperwork needed for completion and finalization of car deals.
22. Maintains a professional appearance.
23. Maintains a clean and professional work environment.
