DescriptionBC Today is hiring a full-time reporter in Victoria to cover provincial politics from the legislature.AB Today and BC Today are subscription-based political newsletters — think Axios meets Politico Pro — read by thousands of professionals in Canada’s political sphere.We are seeking a reporter to develop story ideas, cultivate sources and find scoops.Ideally, you have newsroom experience reporting daily political news in a major municipality, or provincial legislature.In addition to having strong journalistic fundamentals, the desired candidate is self-motivated and very reliable. You must be able to work independently and hold your work to a high standard.The successful candidate will work with the editor on the daily report.You must be available from Sunday to Thursday.We offer 10 days of vacation, plus an extended winter holiday break and numerous holiday long weekends throughout the year.
