Position Summary
Our Operating Theatre has an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse - Scrub /Scout in Neurosurgery to join our Perioperative team. Responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, staff and VAO from diverse backgrounds and cultures Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care Provide supervision and preceptorship to enrolled nurses, graduates and students Work as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, managing own work time and personal well-being Lead successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes Be involved in clinical and compliance auditing Take the lead nursing role in the operating theatre to ensure consistent service delivery and management of departmental/specialty resources About You
You will hold a minimum of 5 years’ full-time Neurosurgery scrub scout experience. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a perioperative setting. Qualifications & Requirements
AHPRA registration (essential) Previous experience with Neurosurgery (5 years minimum) Exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative setting Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities Ensure effective allocation of theatre resources to avoid disruption to service Required to provide a current National Police check and evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker. Benefits
